B) FOR SELLING ITEMS ON CONSIGNMENT FROM OUR

STORE?.

Dear Reader,

Firstly may I begin by stating that we are as our name suggests we are primarily dagger buyers.

In instances  where customers wish to sell recently obtained items there is sometimes little margin between the expected price and the currant retail value. Naturally GDB.com  expect to clear a minimum percentage profit on items for which we have invested our own funds .

We offer the facility of selling your collection  on consignment at a flat  rate of $50 per items.

How does selling on consignment work?

We market your daggers and associated historic collectibles by exhibiting them at fairs ,by emailing details to our customers, and displaying them in our Museum style store.

Sales notification and payments are forwarded immediately at the agreed vendors figure less $50.

David Mattey.

The above service is solely to determine the origins and approximate value of items obtained from within your family. Or those collected by you over time. Regrettably GermanDaggerBuyers.com does not resolve disputes between dealers and on-line collectors.

SS DAGGER PRICNG

SS Daggers

What is my WW2 German SS Dagger worth?
$5000-$10,000 in most cases.

What is a fair price for my WW2 German SS Dagger?
I will pay $4000-$9000 for examples in good condition. My pledge to genuine surviving WW2 veterans and their families is to better all other offers!

Why can German Dagger Buyers pay more?
We buy for long term Investors, Collectors, and Museums they pay us a premium for our guaranteed service.

Email me now: davidmatteybuyer@gmail.co.uk

C) GDM.COM’S MUSEUM EXHIBIT EXCHANGE SCHEME.

To increase the diversity of museums GDM.com has formulated an exhibit exchange scheme.

Are you a private or regimental Museum that finds itself storing ww2 exhibits that are bulky, duplicated or which are deemed politically unsuitable for display?

If so you are invited to register details with us. We will in turn offer you alternative exhibits of commensurate value that are currently up for exchange/trade by similar institutions only

D) RESTORATION & CONSERVATION.

Our view is that for the most part, genuine militaria is best left in “as found” condition.

We do, however, offer a few tips:

1) Never use power tools or abrasives on Daggers
2) Never touch blades with the naked hand .The salty deposits will cause corrosion. If you have made contact wipe the blade with a little machine oil.
3) Avoid the application of fine oils on plated cross guards .This may result in the lifting of the finish.
4) Untouched dagger are more valuable than those that have been polished!

E) BUILDING MUSEUM COLLECTIONS

Advice on the display and acquisition of collections is part of our trade.

We are currently helping to build the most comprehensive collection in Europe.

Our sourcing and strict vetting of items may save you from embarrassment and financial catastrophes.

What is the educational value of a dagger collection?
The awarding of a Dagger in Germany during the Third Reich period immediately empowered the wearer. This was not confined to those within the Military. Postal Officers, Railway Guards, Social Welfare officers alike? all became unchallengeable instruments of authority. The mood of society changed, the resolve to obey and perform ones dutiful function was strengthened, the questions were no longer asked.

We at GermanDaggerBuyers.com are aware that there are both honest and less reputable dealers. Some dealers masquerade as collectors believing they will get a better deal.

We judge items scientifically by committee, pooling years of “hands on” experience.

                                                                                                     DAGGER COLLECTOR’S FORUMS.

A collectors forum is a great place for the virtual enthusiast.

It gives both the unqualified and qualified an opportunity to discuss the merits of items that they may or may not own.

A more sinister side to forums is that collectors have been targeted and suffered after foolishly disclosing details of their valuable collections. Bogus collectors spend months building up credibility and trust before striking.

In practice, the knowledge and experience acquired by actually handling items knows no substitution.

Confidential Selling.

2) Once you have received the offer that you are happy with, wrap (bubble wrap or similar) the item, then tape it and box it up securely – very important!
